My official review of Iron Man 2: SEE IT!
Great movie from start to finish.
Special effects seem real. Nothing reads as CGI.
The characterizations were brilliant. Mickey Rourke is friggin' amazing!
And The Black Widow!!!! She has ONE fight scene. ONE! And it stands out because it was one of the most amazing fight scenes I've ever seen. Reminds me of the first episode of Noir.
If you haven't seen it yet. You need to.

I NEED HELP RE: JAPANESE CULTURE & UNIVERSITY:
Basically, I need to know about entrance exams for universities.
If someone is trying to get into a really competitive university (like Tokyo U), and they don't manage to get in, is it possible that they would apply to and attend a different university and then retake the entrance exam and transfer?
Or are they stuck with either waiting to try to get in to the competitive university, OR attending another university?
Help on this would be appreciated.

I got this amazing piece of art in the mail today, and I can't say thank you to Alexiel-neesan enough.
Such a sexy Doumeki! Hubby saw me looking at it and said, warily, so who's THAT a picture of?
I so hope you come to CCAD in August! If you do, I'll have to show you all the good places to eat.
(Are you a vegetarian - just so I can plan accordingly?)

It is MS Awareness Week:
Which means that i need to get my butt into action in creating my MS Awareness site.
Anyone want to volunteer their services for the site? I'm looking for:
- Authors who will write stories based on "What if this character had MS?"
- Someone to program a game for the site, the Fight MS game (I'll give details to the programmer who agrees to help).
- Any other ideas of what I can put on the site to help raise awareness.
For those who don't know, MS is a debilitating disease where your own white blood cells destroy the coverings on the nerves in your brain - which can lead to nerve damage. MS, when left to run its course, can lead to blindness and the inability to walk. It's a disease of chaos, presenting itself differently in each person, and you never know what to expect. It's terrifying, to say the least.
Anyone willing to help, I'd appreciate it.

Me and my MS:
So, since the neurologist said it's absolutely definite i have MS, i feel a little more like i can come out and speak on what's going on.
And what's going on is that I'm freaking out.
The original symptoms that got me diagnosed were complete numbness in my right hand, and light numbness in my right arm. Additionally, there were flashes of light when i turned my head. I didn't know at the time, but there was also fatigue and dizziness. That means, i knew i had them, but didn't think they were relevant.
Since the diagnosis, and since the first round of intravenous corticosteroids to help abate the current outbreak (Oh, feel the love for the methylprednisolone. What other drug can make you: either ravenous or completely unhungry, make you gain and/or lose weight, throw your emotional stability out the window, and make you grow heinously dark facial hair in WEIRD spots.), the symptoms faded for a bit - then came back whole hog. On top of this, the dizziness and fatigue have increased, and I'm getting tingles in my thighs, hips, and a little up from there. Whee! Because that doesn't scare the shit out of me! Oh, hell no!
yes, I have the sarcastic gene.
Well, yesterday, the MS nurse finally came, and i started my beta-interferon injections. So from now on, i'll be injecting myself 3 times a week. YAY! NEEDLES! I have my VERY OWN sharps disposal container. Whee!
oh, did I mention another symptom of MS is depression?
And did i mention that a side effect of beta-interferons is depression?
When I heard that, i was like, Hm... So, you're telling me that after being told I have a degenerative disease that is potentially going to eat enough holes in my brain that i'm going to lose the ability to walk, and i may lose the ability to see as well, that i am no longer able to view myself as strong, that i'm going to feel tired and incapable of doing all the things I want to do, that I won't be able to survive without drugs for the rest of my life - after telling me all this, you're SURPRISED that people with MS suffer depression? They'd have to be insane NOT to.
Yeah. I have to tell you, there's absolutely nothing like sitting in the living room, typing on your computer, and turning your head two inches to the right to catch something on the TV screen, and just THAT MUCH MOVEMENT makes you dizzy like you're going to fall out of your recliner.
And the best part is, no one out there knows what MS is. When I say "I have been diagnosed with MS," I get this vacant stare that you can clearly read as them thinking, "MS. I know that's bad, but i have no idea what to say, because i don't know what it is."
So, I want to start some social media to raise awareness. All of you out there without MS who bother to read this, can you please tell me what i could do to draw your awareness and make you care enough to read on?
Thanks in advance for feedback.
